Stay away from the arranged midis archive! Still, it's worth a download if you liked playing this game. They have really nice themes, but you sort of get disappointed when you see how many MIDs there are and you find out that only about 12 are different themes.

#Bugdom 2 soundtrack archive
This archive has lots of different versions of the SC2000 themes. It doesn't sound that "sad" to me, but then again it's hard to make a sad tune with old amiga instruments! Possibly a good target for a remixer! I prefer the songs from Super Contra (or C), but that might be because I have the game, whilst I don't have Contra. The megamix is good though!!! It sounds like a brilliantly improved and resampled NESMusa song! I'm not that keen on the "enemy fortress" theme and I think the only reason I like Lis Vender's is because of the samples and her other remixes. "Not as good as Super Contra (or Super C)" (by Dr. Does anyone know where to get this NESMusa thing to convert them to mod? Great tunes, especially the Brandinsky one. The OverClocked link is no longer active. Overall, new pcs should play them absolutely fine! :)

They still play fine on PC (better with QT), but they were designed for a mac game you must understand. I, however have achieved best results playing these on a mac with Quicktime. I would seriously recommend this to someone who likes MIDIs. It makes good use of guitars and bass instruments and works with the annoying old guitar harmonics, making them sound great. Super melodies and rhythms and they are very suitable for the game - which is based on ancient temples. Note: The unzipped archive is 5 times the zipped version. There are some great melodies in there which will certainly be a BIG addition to your collection. If you are a fan of Runescape, you'll be pleased to get these 643 MIDI tunes. "Official Largest Archive on Mirsoft and only 4MB" (by Dr. I never played it much and I only got it because the same company made Monkey Shines - which is also worth getting. (PS) I'm not just saying this cos I like the game.
#Bugdom 2 soundtrack mod
THIS WILL BE A SUPER ADDITION TO YOUR MOD COLLECTION! I.E. Resampling or changing the mixer settings could put it right, perhaps though. Gamemusic often betrays this, but not this one - no sir!!! It really sounds like something from somewhere else - perhaps an Amiga classic? However the game came with very little documentation so it's hard to track down the maker. My music teacher tells me to write non-repetitive songs that sticks with a melody, but develops it. It has a great melody and lots of development. The first tune which is the one that comes first in the playlist in the game is FAB!!! It really proves that you don't need special effects you find in newer modules to make a great tune. From full-length accurate tracks to 3k chip versions, there's a lot of tunes to go around! If you want some cool Simpsons theme remixes, take a look at this. Other useful tools are PlayerPRO 5.9.8, ResEdit and Mediaextract (by Panzi).

Many of the mac game music files were ripped from the game's resource forks using the application, Resploder.

If you have any questions about my uploads, feel free to send me a message. I was quite young when I wrote most of the reviews, so sorry if they come across as childish. Mirsoft is a great site if you want to relive old memories and explore the history of game music.
